Customers say
Customers give positive feedback about the keychain’s security features, noting it saves cars from thieves, and appreciate its durability and value for money. The size receives mixed reviews – while some find it fits nicely in a shirt pocket, others say it’s too small for key fobs. The functionality and signal blocking performance are mixed, with some saying it works well while others report it doesn’t work at all or doesn’t block signals. Customers disagree on whether the keychain allows them to start their vehicles.

Works
Absolutely works. Making sure to put in back pocket w RFID fabric. Front pocket, only for little extras. With keys/Fob in back pocket close top down. Works great. Can not unlock or start car. Have to admit a bit of a pain not.being able to just open. But that is what it is for. STOP the thief from.breaking in and stealing car.I keep the carrier in top of my purse. Lifting the flap and pulling fob up to see a bit. Vehicle opens right up. Of course I have and keep it closed even at home. Recommend.

Works exactly as discribed.
No problems, just make sure you put your key in the proper pouch as there are two. The protected pouch will hold two sets of keys in my case. Seems to be well made and I believe it will hold up nicely.

Good I gave as a gift

Sturdy, well-made, works perfectly, but has functional limitations.
I may have an over-anticipated the functionality of this product. It is sturdy and well made, works exactly as designed and does provide the complete RF protection that is built into the design. When I received it, I took my key fob tucked it into the silver pouch, closed and secured the flap with the velcro closure. I took it to the car, and attempted to open the door, open the rear hatch – zero response. Same response inside the car with the PTS button. The dilemma is that in order to get into my car, I have to take it out of the pouch, and then leave it out of the pouch to start the car, which sort of defeats the purposes for which this pouch was made. Excellent product, works great, but if a thief is surreptitiously listening, for your car’s response in order to capture the RF key, I don’t see where this is much protection when you have to expose the fob to unlock and start your car. Beyond this, I suspect that the velcro fastener may wear out, from all the opening and closings every time you use your car. Perfect concept, perfectly executed, but with some functional concerns. Oh, and don’t start your car, slide the fob back into the pouch, and then as you stop the car and are exiting, you lock and shut your door behind you. You’ve locked yourself out of your car because your key fob is locked inside and your car normally wouldn’t allow you to lock your door with the fob inside the car; the car doesn’t know it’s there.

Works Great
Feel much safer knowing, thugs, can’t penetrate my defense. Bought 2, one also for spare. Like that it has extra pockets for c/cards or misc. items to carry with you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Blocks the signal
I needed to get a new protector. This does an excellent job blocking the signal. I have to remove the key FOB from the protector in order to unlock and start my car. When the key FOB is in the protector, I cannot unlock or start my car. The size of the protector is just right. I am able to keep the FOB on the key ring with my other keys.

Stopped working
Have used this infrequently for a year. It worked when it was received but not anymore! This sits in a drawer with the keys in it and is in like new condition, but I found that many times I forget to take the car key out and guess what. The doors still open and the car still starts. There are times when the car is started and the key is in the bag that the car with state a warning that the fob is not in the area, but not often. So its not worth buying unless you want something else in your pockets.

Those one-star reviews probably were written in error. I also added another.
There are eight one-star reviews as of this writing. I was just about to add another.I tried the bag in my new Jeep, having inserted the key fob into the pocket and having folded over the velcro closure. When I tried the ignition, the Jeep started right up! “What a worthless item!” I thought. Then I took a closer look. There are two pockets. The rear one is for the key fob. That pocket has a silvery lining. The front pocket, the opening of which sits a little lower, is for credit cards, cash, and such things. I had put the key fob in the front pocket, not even noticing the rear pocket. Looked at a certain way, the opening to that pocket appears to be a line of stitching across the bag, whereas the opening to the front pocket is seen easily.I tried again, with the key fob in the rear pocket and with the velcro closure closed. Voila! The Jeep wouldn’t start. I tried still again, with the key fob still in the rear pocket but with the closure unsealed. The engine turned over nicely–so it’s clear that the closure has to be closed.I suspect that the eight angry one-star reviewers made the same mistake I made but never discovered that the pocket for the key fob isn’t the one most easily seen. Of course, looking at the images at the product description would make all of this obvious, but the bag is such a simple thing that I don’t think one can object much to people (myself among them) who stampede ahead without looking at the instructions.I give the bag three stars because I haven’t had a chance to use it in “real life,” which for me means hiding a spare key somewhere on the vehicle. I plan to do that in conjunction with using the Ravelco anti-theft device, which I had installed last week. That device prevents hot wiring (Ravelco says it hasn’t lost a vehicle to theft in all its 45 years), so, even if the spare key is discovered, it won’t start the engine. I want to have a spare in case the key I take along on days-long backpacking trips someone manages to lose itself along the trail.

I ordered two to arrive before I purchased my new car (as it has keyless entry). After seeing a recent video of a Mercedes being stolen by boosting the signal between the key and the car I needed confidence that my car should be protected from that. When picking up the car I put both keys into one pouch, as they were linked together, and closed the pouch. I could not gain entry to the car, and neither could the salesperson. Removing the keys from the pouch I could then open the car door and enjoy my new purchase. These pouches really do work, and fit into the pocket easily.Would recommend these to anyone with keyless entry – simply purchase them and if they don’t work for you you can always return them. I am keeping mine!
