Customers say
Customers find the wireless charger works well and is easy to install, taking just a minute to set up, with clear instructions included. The product fits perfectly, looks OEM, and offers good value for money, coming with two Y splitter cables for additional use ports. The charging speed receives mixed feedback – while some report fast charging, others say it’s not as fast as using a cord. The build quality also gets mixed reviews, with some praising its solid construction while others find it poor.

Great price, simple install. Keep in mind your phone size before buying.
The TAPTES Wireless Charger for the Tesla Model 3 is a great accessory for keeping smaller phones powered on the go. Installation was simple and seamless, and it integrates perfectly with the car’s interior. The charging functionality works flawlessly for compatible devices, making it a convenient addition for passengers. The only downside, which isn’t the product’s fault, is the limited space for Tesla’s phone holders. My Samsung S23 Ultra is too large to fit on this charger or the holder, which is a bit disappointing. However, my passengers with smaller phones love it and have no issues using it.Overall, it’s a solid product for most phone sizes and a worthwhile upgrade for your Tesla if you’re looking for a reliable wireless charging solution. Just keep in mind its size limitations for larger phones.

Works great. Easy to install.
I bought this to replace a far more expensive one that died. This charge pad looked identical, fits perfectly, was very easy to install, and had the added benefit of still allowing access to both USB ports while in use. As I am an early adopter for my Tesla, I bought the old back when accessories were hard to find and still very expensive. That brand was the only option back then, was almost $200 and only lasted about four years. This has good charge speed, fits both my Galaxy and iPhone, and still allows me to close the cover if desired, and was inexpensive.Good value for the money. I would purchase it again.

Works as advertised! Great Buy!
I bought another wireless pad for my Tesla Model 3 but had to return it because of charging issues and the unit running quite hot.Pros:- This is thick-case friendly! I’m able to charge my iPhone XS Max using a sliding case that holds 2-3 credit cards/IDs (Samonpow case)- The overheating protection seems to work well – my phone doesn’t feel as hot compared to the first unit I bought- Install was easy and I didn’t have to use the double sided tape to keep it in place- The color of the unit matches well with the matte black of the surrounding areas, ie: armrest, interior etc. I’ve installed a deep matte black vinyl wrap for my center console and this matches the color perfectly – uniformed and simple look.Cons: NONE (Maybe they could’ve added another USB splitter?)Would also like to mention that it doesn’t provide fast charging with the current configuration unless you connect this to a Q-charger plugged into the cigarette port. I don’t want to run a USB cord and make the console area messy looking just to get that extra boost of charge – I’m ok with the simplicity.Buy this already! You won’t regret it.

Good not Great
Purchased for a 2019 Telsa Model 3Good: The charger fits. It works. My phone doesn’t slip around much while driving. The material is decent. The price for value is fair.Mid: Charging is slow. Feels slower than 5W, but its enough to not lose any battery while using your phone for audio content or w/e.Ugly: The charger comes with dual port usb adapters so you can plug in a Sentry Mode USB without losing a port. These cables did not work for me. I can currently only use one of the wireless chargers until I buy another adapter to fix the issue. The cables are just eWaste. Hard to knock the device too much. Tesla admits – by way of new models with USB in the glovebox – that these ports shouldn’t have been the only spot for Sentry mode device’s to plug in. The included adapter cables were a nice gesture that didn’t work out for me.

Works Perfect
Installed this in my 2018 model 3. I watched a quick video on YouTube and insulation probably took five minutes at the most. Fits perfectly and works really well. Very happy with it.

Little thicc, obviously slow since it’s wireless but cheap and works
On my Pixel 4 XL I get about 25% charge per hour. Good for long road trips. But actually works with my phone case on unlike the old USB-C plug (which I have running into a power bank for 24/7 charging of devices even with the car off). I’ll keep a cable handy in the tub for emergency fast charges. It is a little bit thick and the top door in some positions rubs if you have the door open and the phone tray folded up to access the center console storage. Also it doesn’t have round locating nubs to hold it from sliding like the OEM pad it just relies on two pieces of padded 3M double stick tape. If I was a beggar I would ask for it to have a rubber backing to ensure there are no rattles and round rubber nubbins to stay in place like the OEM.All criticisms are moot since this thing costs under $40. Extremely reasonable price. Charges as fast as I would expect a wireless charger to charge. So all around I consider it a winner.

Disappointed by charging power Avoid all cost.
I recently purchased the TAPTES Wireless Charger for my Tesla Model 3, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Here are the main issues I’ve encountered:Charging Speed: The charging power is disappointingly slow. It takes significantly longer to charge my phone compared to other wireless chargers I’ve used. This defeats the purpose of having a convenient charging solution in my car, as it’s not practical to wait that long for a charge.Installation: The installation process was quite cumbersome. It took me about an hour to get it set up in my car. Given the difficulty and time investment, I was reluctant to uninstall and return it, despite my dissatisfaction.Overheating: One of the most concerning issues is that my phone gets extremely hot while charging. This is not only uncomfortable but also potentially damaging to my device. Overheating can reduce the lifespan of the phone’s battery and possibly lead to other hardware issues. In conclusion, I would not recommend the TAPTES Wireless Charger for the Tesla Model 3. The slow charging speed and overheating issues make it an impractical and potentially harmful accessory. Considering the time and effort required for installation, I decided to keep it, but I regret not returning it. Save your time and money and look for a more reliable alternative.
