Customers say
Customers find the phone decent in quality, easy to navigate, and appreciate its long battery life and value as a cheap iPhone replacement. The functionality and call quality receive mixed feedback – while it works well with T-Mobile, some report it doesn’t work with Tello, and while call quality is great for some, others experience issues. The signal strength is a concern, with multiple customers reporting no WiFi connectivity.

cheap replacement that works with T-mobile sim
Cheap replacement for busted iPhone with t mobile sim. It’s a dumb phone so very basic but works fine. Call quality is great. Long battery life

Unreliable
I am updating this review because the phone performs the basic function of text and calls some of the time, but not always. We got it as an emergency line for our kids, but it randomly shuts off or says it is failed to charge even after the battery has shown full charge. It often doesn’t sync up with the cell provider so sometimes you have to call it a few times before it will ring, and sometimes even then it goes straight to voicemail. For the most part it will complete a call that is initiated from it, but receiving calls is a guessing game. I was hoping it would be more reliable, especially for my kids. This phone has been taken very good care of and only used about twice a week, it isn’t a matter of being dropped or damage.

Work really good!
Work really good! It goes well with the 3$ Tello SIM card! Highly recommended. I bought this to cut down my screen time, I hope that will work. Only complain is that it was a little confusing in setting it up but a quick search from YouTube solve it!

A nice basic phone with a few drawbacks
A nice phone to de-Google/de-iPhone your life. It had everything I needed talk, text and a simple camera along with a few utility apps.As far as drawbacks for me; the screen size was somewhat hard to see, there’s no threaded text messaging (all messages are lumped together in an in or out box and not sorted by contacts) but the deal breaker was that it often couldn’t connect calls even with full signal strength. It’d be nice if Nokia released this exact phone in a qwerty keyboard version with a few quality of life improvements like a larger screen, threaded text, and absolutely more reliable call connection.Wanting a simple phone doesn’t mean one wants to struggle with it.

Decent but didn’t work for me.
I wanted a dumb phone so that I wouldn’t be distracted by apps. The phone would have been perfect but calling just never happened smoothly with Mint mobile.

Great dumb phone without Wi-Fi – paired w/Tello
I paired this phone with an eight dollar unlimited text and call plan from Tello and works great for my middle schooler. I went with this one because it does not have Wi-Fi as many of the other dumb phones do which would defeat our goal of no data. He can text and call just fine. It took a little bit maybe 10 or 15 minutes to initialize with Tello when we first put in the SIM card but now works great. He can only text and call and play the preloaded games like snake and Tetris, which is age-appropriate.

Does NOT work with Tello, although advertised otherwise.
Does not work with Tello, although customer reviews and „frequently bought together“ indicates otherwise. Maybe they changed something, but mine is rejected by the compatibility checker on the Tello website. Will return.

The cutest (full updates)
I’ll update once I get service, but so far so cute! I’m going “no smartphone,” for a while and just using my smartphone as a laptop or tablet. This will be my main source of communication for a while. I plan to use the Tello $8/mo plan, ordered my SIM card so when it gets here I’ll make a full review. The specs are cute to me. Nice size, small, lightweight. You can reduce to bubble keys sounding volume to “indoors” or silent. In order to set things like that, you have to go to settings. No button rockers at all on the sides. If you’re on the main screen, you can change the overall volume by using the “end” key.The camera is just like back in the days, it’s not horrible, but it’s definitely not a camera for keeping memories. I took a picture of jellyfish on my iPhone and set it as the wallpaper, the picture I posted doesn’t do it Justice, it’s not that grainy or blurry in person—it’s really not that bad to me. The pic I took of the LED remote is basically the camera quality under good lighting. The packaging was small and neat. The keys are easy to press, it looked like one big keypad on the picture, but the keys are individual buttons (if that makes sense), so I imagine texting will be easier than I expected. That’s about all I can say right now, I literally just unboxed it, and powered it on. I’m excited though! I’ll brb for a full review once I get service.UPDATE:10/10 for cuteness1/10 for usefulness!I got the Tello plan with 2GB data and Ulmt talk/txt. As far as sending, it’s great, but receiving absolutely not. Even in the same home, I can call my family, they can hear me on the phone but I can’t hear them. If I go to another area the signal drops completely. I receive texts 20hrs later, but ppl can receive my texts just fine.Definitely not a phone for emergencies, at least in my area. I wanted to get away from the smartphone thing for a bit, but I think I’m just gonna go with deleting apps and touching grass. It would be a cute toy for a toddler though lol.
