Good selections, well illustrated!
An excellent selection of knots to accomplish the tasks facing the camper or outdoorsman. Helpfully organized by function, rather than by formal taxonomy. This is a pocket guide, so descriptions are very brief and just enough diagrams are given. However, the function of each knot (i.e., it’s superpower) is conveyed and the diagrams are quite clear.I might have included more lashing types and left out other things, but this is a perfectly reliable teaching guide and memory resource. This laminated pamphlet does not aspire to be a knot and ropework bible. It is a pocket guide, and a fine one.

Poor guide to knots
Superficial and hard to understand some of the diagrams. Silly or unlikely sections like “Handcuff a Burglar,” “Escape from Captivity,” “Snare a Rabbit,” “Tie your Shoes,” etc.
Laurenz Wirth –
Vielseitige, leicht verständliche Darstellung nützlicher Knoten. Den Fuhrmannsknoten (Trucker’s Hitch) kann man einfacher haben.
Johnny 5 –
This not really a book but a laminated fold out card that has color photos of the most important knots.
Annie Carr –
A lot of knots were crammed into this little brochure, including tying ties, and making a ladder. It is clear to read, and the illustrations are easy to follow. It’s laminated, and thin, so can fit in a survival pack, as well. It’s much more than I expected.
Ken Durham –
Fantastic booklet to learn from and carry in survival kit for use. Laminated so waterproof.

Good. Some are a bit difficult to follow.
