Strong Ties
In the past, I’ve ordered “50 lbs.” zip ties. I found that they didn’t come close to holding that weight. Also, they simply broke when attached to items, as if the plastic was faulty. I’m happy to report that these ties are different. They’re rated at 120lbs. – I’m not sure that they’d actually hold that much but do are strong. I didn’t find any that failed (the mechanism didn’t hold the tie, or the tie simply broke due to poor quality). At the time of my review, they are $12 for a 100 pack (18”) which is a good value. Overall, you can never have enough zip ties and these are a good option.

Good quality, extra length is handy
These zip ties are well made and work perfectly. As advertised, they are double-sided, with “teeth” on both sides. The head of the zip tie is made the same as most other zip ties, so the head will only lock in one direction, but if you have an application where the tie must be twisted, and I’ve run into that situation more than once, the teeth on both sides will come in handy. The 18 inch length is long enough for most applications where a standard length zip tie is not long enough. One very minor negative is that the zip ties were shipped in bag and were folded over on themselves, so the whole bundle of ties is not straight, but is bent in a U shape. It would have been better if they were shipped straight so that they would not all be curved like they are. Maybe they will relax and return to straight again in time. All in all, I’m happy with these ties.

LIght-Medium duty Zip Tie. Thin width and thickness reduce’s bulk.
These are light to medium duty zip ties that are perfect when you need length and not high strength.The size:Width is very similar to the standard, smaller 6 to 8″ length zip ties. It is noticeably thicker. The straps do have teeth on both sides, so if the belt gets twisted it will still catch in the Tongue/head piece.Strength:The nylon material also seems very similar to what I’ve seen in other products so I can’t comment on whether it is improved or stronger. In general, it seems well made and capable.During my testing it snapped at about 100 pounds of steady pull. Keep in mind that this force was applied by a relatively thin, metal hook attached to my scale. A larger diameter pulling surface would have distributed the force across a bigger area. In this case I think the Zip tie would reach the stated 120 pounds of Tensile strength. So, I’m satisfied with the result. (My picture was taken just before it snapped.)These are nicely made straps. In most cases around my house, I need length more than strength. And in the past, I had to attach a combination of two shorter zip ties to meet my requirements. The two ties always looked sloppy (having two connection points), and it was difficult to adjust. So, this is a much better solution to the majority of my needs. I’m very happy with these Zip Ties and would recommend them.

very nice set of zip ties in handy quantity and good price
At 100 for $10, current pricing, this is a good price point for probably the handiest quantity of good zip ties. I use zip ties a lot, for a lot of things, so have quite a bit of experience using them, and which are the good ones.These are the good ones.I like the white color, as a personal preference over black, but what really matters is the quality of manufacture, ease of use, and strength. I suppose UV resistance to sun embrittlement is also a variable, but I can’t speak to that as it would be a yearlong test.The ties do seem to have teeth on both sides, and in my break-strength testing, none of them failed at the ratchet.I generally test 5. My protocol is to wrap them around a 2″ pipe so there are no sharp edges, and then use a hand or a foot to evenly apply pressure until it fails. These seem to be right about at the 100lb strength from my subjective rating, which I consider to be a success. I’ve had many other ties fail far earlier than their claimed strength.So I give these 5 stars. If I encounter any problems, I’ll revisit this review, but from my testing so far, one pretty much can’t go wrong with this very useful length, in a good quantity, for a quality zip tie.
