The best cutting board EVER!
I bought the 12″ x 18″ and the 10″ x 12″ and will soon purchase the smallest size. Hands down, these are best cutting boards (surfaces? mats?) I have ever used. They don’t dull my kives like some surfaces can. I also love that they are not thick and bulky. They have the thickness of a stack of three index cards. This makes them very easy to wash or just wipe clean. Yes, the knives do leave scratches but not deep enough to be of concern. These cutting boards are going to last for a very long time. The ones I bought are exactly the same on both sides.A couple of things I’d like to point out. Some people are surprised when they receive only one board, instead of the three that were shown in the picture. Unless the description specifically says “Set,” you are only going to get one board of the size that was checked. Measurements for the other available sizes are shown, but you will have to order them separately. If you are kneading dough, this board will likely slide around. Putting a silicone mat under it will be a big help keeping it in place. Finally, these are advertised as titanium cutting boards (some are advertised as 100% pure titanium), but if you look further down at the “Material” description it may say stainless steel. Even if it does say titanium, I would question that. Titanium and Stainless Steel are NOT the same thing. Titanium is much lighter in weight and much more expensive than stainless steel. These boards are heavy in comparison to titanium, but are more durable than titanium. I honestly don’t understand this discrepancy. However, this being said, I think they are incredible and love working with them. I recommend them highly and would give them 10 stars if it were possible!

Good alternative to plastic cutting boards
Plastic cutting boards do shred and give you a dose of micro- and nano-plastics. These particles are dangerous to your gut, lungs and vascular system, and possibly your brain as well. Wooden cutting boards are fine as long as you make sure they don’t remain wet. Cellulose (wood) is inert and non-toxic. Wood is naturally antibacterial (though I wouldn’t use one with raw meat unless cleansed very well with soap and water). Who knows what metal this is made of. Whether titanium (doubtful given knives leave scratches) or stainless steel, it will dull your knives faster than plastic or wood. I do use the metal one but I think wood is the better choice, and if you have a friend who is a woodworker, they would love to make you one.

Safer alternative to other cutting boards
We’ve always known that wooden cutting boards are not suitable for cutting raw meats because it’s too difficult to sanitize them properly. Hence, the plastic boards seemed a good alternative because they can go in the dishwasher. Now we hear that plastic particles in our food can contribute to dementia. Someone suggested titanium to me but I dismissed that idea because I was pretty sure that would dull our knives. I finally did some research and learned that 100% titanium would not dull our knives and is the best alternative to other cutting board materials; consequently I gave this one a try. My husband and I do a lot of cooking/prep work and in just a week have given this one quite a workout. It performs beautifully and can be hand washed or go in the dishwasher. At first it was odd using such a thin cutting board but we love it. Depending on your counter surface, you may want to put a towel under it to prevent slipping. We will probably order more in other sizes. Be careful, there are some that look the same but are stainless steel, which would dull your knives. The titanium has been wonderful.

You should know…
The product is convenient. It’s light. Easy to clean. However, it will dull your knife blade.

Titanium cutting board scratches
Bought this product with high hopes it would be the answer to my prayers for a decent cutting board. Day one chopping veggies it left scratches on the surface. Definitely was not expecting to see scratches. I bought 2, only tried 1 so the other is being returned.

Durable titanium construction; didn’t dull my knives.
I was concerned about the titanium material dulling my expensive cutlery. But I haven’t had any issues so far. I maintain the knife edge by sharpening it with a honing rod after a few uses. It’s also important to use the back of the knife to scrape cut veggies, off the board (avoid scraping with a sharpened edge). This cutting board is thin (just over a millimeter thick) but it’s durable and won’t dent or bend. You may notice some slight, superficial scratch marks. But it’s much more sanitary than wood cutting boards that can warp, crack and get contaminated with bacteria and mold. This titanium board is easily cleaned in the kitchen sink or dishwasher. I purchased the 10” x 12” board, and liked it so much, I just ordered the 12” x 18” board for larger prep work. The edges are smooth and won’t cut your hands like some cheaper stainless steel cutting boards. This item also hasn’t rusted after several uses, and stays secure against my granite countertop while cutting.

Better than plastic or wood
This is an excellent improvement over plastic or wood cutting boards. Doesn’t seem to dull my knives. It does need to be on a backer to be a little thicker. Stores great since its thin.

There are lots of things I like about this cutting board. 1. the size , not too big or small. 2. The weight is light. 3. I won’t get plastic cuttings in my food when I cut the veggies on it. 4. Easy to wash. Buy it. You will like it.

If this is 100% pure titanium, then titanium stains really easily and the first time I used it, knife marks all over it were grooved into the metal. I read that this shouldn’t be the case. So I question if this is truly pure titanium. I don’t recommend it to anyone.
